April 2025: Earth Day - Celebration

Earth Day was celebrated on 22nd April 2025 with vibrant enthusiasm. The students of Class 12 expressed their dedication by presenting charts that vividly captured the spirit of the occasion.

Dhriti Shaju of class 12 delivered a speech on the significance of Earth Day emphasizing our responsibility towards the planet and the damage inflicted upon it by human actions. Her heartfelt message resonated deeply with the audience, who listened with rapt attention.

Echoing Dhriti’s powerful words: “The Earth does not belong to us. We belong to the Earth.”

April 2025: Capacity building program on Active learning

Workshop on Active Learning – April 12, 2025

A CPB workshop on Active Learning Strategies was conducted on April 12, 2025, for the teachers of our school. The session was led by Ms. Padma V, Former Dean – Academic Research & eShiksha, and Mr. Thavasi Mony, Principal of Vidya Peetam, Sholingur. The interactive workshop focused on innovative, student-centric teaching methods that enhance classroom engagement and improve learning outcomes. Teachers actively participated in hands-on activities and discussions, gaining valuable insights to implement in their daily teaching practices.

June 2025: Chitlapakkam Lake Cleaning and Awareness program

Twenty-two students from Classes 8, 9, and 11, along with teachers Ms. Gayathri Karthick and Ms. Jayashree, participated in a lake cleanup and awareness drive at Chitlapakkam Lake, organized by the Chitlapakkam Rising team.

Students learned about water conservation, sustainability, and civic responsibility. They cleaned plastic waste, planted saplings, and engaged with the team to understand lake restoration efforts.

The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks and certificate distribution. It was a meaningful, hands-on experience that inspired greater environmental awareness.

July 2025: Heritage Club – INTACH Heritage Talk

Ten students from Classes 8 and 9 attended a Heritage Talk organized by INTACH Chennai Chapter on 5th July 2025 at Sri Sankara Senior Secondary School, Adyar. Dr. Chithra Madhavan, historian, gave a pictorial presentation on India’s rich heritage, covering ancient scripts, inscriptions, coins, sculptures, and temple architecture. She showed visuals of the Ashoka Pillar, Iron Pillar, Ajanta and Elephanta Caves, and explained the origin of scripts like Brahmi. The session was highly informative and interactive, sparking great interest among the students.

November 2024: Kindness Activity

Kindness Week was celebrated from 4th of November to 8th November 2025 in honour of World Mental Health Day .During Class teacher period teachers discussed kindness and started the kindness week with the pledge. Each student shared their experiences that they had shown around their surroundings. Kindness Bingo was conducted which made the students share their kindness experience through fun activities and the same was put up on the notice board.

November 2024: Informal sessions for classes 6 to 8 students

To help students of Classes 6 to 8 explore career options and choose their future stream with clarity, informal sessions are organized. In these sessions, parents from various professional backgrounds—such as the Navy, arts, medicine, chartered accountancy, and more—are invited to share insights about their careers.

June 2024: ABCD WARRIORS FOR THE STUDENTS OF CLASSES 6 TO 8

To foster leadership, responsibility, and a positive learning environment among students, our school proudly introduces the ABCD Warriors program.
This student-led initiative empowers two students from each section to take ownership of key areas in the classroom and beyond.”   

 A – Academic Warriors:-                       
They motivate peers to stay focused on studies, assist classmates in academics, and ensure a productive classroom atmosphere.                       
B – Belongingness Warriors:-                       
They promote inclusivity, kindness, and teamwork—making sure every student feels valued and supported.                       
C – Change Makers:-                      
Innovative and proactive, they lead new ideas, problem-solving efforts, and contribute actively to class improvement and social initiatives.                       
D – Discipline Warriors:-                       
They ensure rules are followed, both inside and outside the classroom, maintaining order and respect in the school community.       

June 2024: Life Skills Programme – Middle School

At The PSBB Millennium School OMR, we empower our middle school students with essential life skills through interactive sessions and activities.

The programme focuses on:

  • Emotional well-being & empathy
  • Problem-solving & teamwork

These skills prepare students to face real-life challenges with confidence and grow into responsible individuals.

December 2023: Nithya Sumangali Thayar Goshala (Divya Prabanda Paathshaala) - Visit to Goshala

As part of India’s rich cultural heritage, the Heritage & Integrity Club, in association with the Eco Club, organized a field trip for students of Classes 4 to 8 to a Gaushala. The visit aimed to instill values of compassion, sustainability, and respect for animals. Students enthusiastically participated in activities such as feeding cows, cleaning sheds, and making eco-friendly Ganesha idols using dried cow dung. They also enjoyed storytelling, songs, and delicious prasadam. The experience provided a hands-on understanding of traditional values, environmental care, and selfless giving, leaving students with meaningful memories and life lessons.

June 2023: STUDENT CONNECT

The Student Connect Program has been a successful and ongoing initiative in our school for the past few years. This year, the program continues with strengthened goals, renewed structure, and active participation from students and staff.

The purpose of the Student Connect program is to foster leadership, accountability, and a culture of discipline among students. Through this initiative, selected students from classes 9 to 12, play an active role in maintaining discipline, punctuality, cleanliness, and mutual respect within the school. The members are carefully selected students from Classes 9 to 12, chosen based on their leadership qualities, responsible behaviour, and willingness to serve as role models for their peers.
