Inspiration
Life is boring until someone adds glitter and shimmer
The inspiration to shine
To follow your new light
To follow your dreams
‘Cause life is more than it seems.
Doesn’t matter if it’s day or night
If you follow the light
You will always shine
And do better than just fine
‘Cause when you find inspiration
You’d literally soar
Go higher than you’ve ever been before.
When you find your determination
Your long living inspiration
You can relieve any wish
To fly with birds or swim with fish
Be an astronaut in a suit or a musician with a flute.
So many choices
You’ll know which one it is
When you find it - inspiration.

Vyavasthaa 2020, the second edition of The PSBB Millennium School, Gerugambakkam's inter school debate competition was held on the 11th and 12th of September 2020. In spite of the current circumstances, the event was held online on Discord and Google Meets that provided two days of competitive and intense debating.
The event kicked off with the inaugural ceremony which included speeches from the Principal, Mrs Bhavani Baskar and the chief guest Dr. Bhavani Shankar. The league rounds of the competition commenced on the 11th of September with 8 upper house schools and 6 lower house schools debating each other on engrossing topics offering new view points and several unique interpretations. Abacus Montessori and Sishya from the upper house qualified for the finals. The lower house finalists were Sishya and the Chennai Public School, Thirumazhisai.
Day Two of Vyavasthaa 2020 was the grand finals for both the upper and lower house. The upper house finalists debated the motion, “This house would allow soldiers to sue their governments for negligence” while the lower house debated on “This house would offer dictators immunity in return for leaving power”. Both sets of debaters engaged in a session of passionate debating which had the audience eyes planted on their screens. Soon after, the results were announced and Sishya swept the tournament winning both the upper house and the lower house while Abacus and CPS Thirumazhisai ended the tournament as runners.
Vyavasthaa is a tournament that is built on the foundations of traditional debating. With its main goal being to play host to an array of talented debaters and orators who are willing to put their skills on display and this year we were able to achieve that goal on a broader scale while witnessing some truly fascinating debating. On the whole the event was a great success and The PSBBMS, GBKM debate club hopes to do it all again next year.

Nature has created a wonderful serendipity. Since the beginning of the 21st century, advanced modernization, along with its benefits has bought many perilous components to our realm.
It’s hard to express in words as to how the pandemic has affected the environment in real time, but a pressing issue for environmental groups is the potential waste being produced by more people using single-use items, such as disinfecting wipes and paper towels. In addition to bleach and alcohol, soap and water works on different surfaces.
As countries around the world are following various lockdown measures to prevent the further spread of COVID-19,researchers are analysing reports on how this has left a positive impact on the environment. The sharp decrease in economic activity has resulted in a decrease in greenhouse gas emissions. Hence, cities are seeing a notable drop in air pollution.
Clean air is, of course, welcome, but what do we need to do to keep this and other positive trends going?
UNICEF has collected a number of climate friendly tips for us with regard to energy, paper, water, food, air quality and plastic waste.
The lockdown that is observed in many parts of the world to flatten the curve has also caused the ozone layer, which remained shattered till the last 6 months, has resilience by almost 18%. It is expected to heal by 50% expeditiously.
The prevailing pandemic is a lesson taught to mankind for frivolously destroying mother nature. However it is also necessary to stay united and sanguine albeit far apart. We are supposed to stay aplomb and follow the precautions vehemently for the benefit of our posterity.

Dear Parents,
Shri Gurubhyo Namaha!
Greetings!!
Thank you for your immense support in our new endeavour to ensure continuity of learning. We are overwhelmed to receive positive responses from you with regard to this novel venture. While our teachers are equipping themselves to take their students through this new learning experience, we are at fine tuning and resolving glitches. Nevertheless, we understand that this digital platform can in no way completely substitute the conventional and comprehensive classroom teaching, that we are accustomed to. These virtual classes have been resorted to as there isn’t any alternative in this precarious situation. The timetable has hence been kept flexible and quite relaxing with periodic allotment for upload of resources/ modules for co scholastic areas as well. We hope and pray that with your unstinted support, we will be able to continue this new experience of imparting knowledge and ensure that the present uncertainty doesn’t disrupt your child’s learning process.
May the learning continue!
Stay home! Stay safe!
