Namma Charitre : Annual Cultural Extravaganza
An academic year is a journey often littered with surprises and bittersweet memories, and there can't be a better way to cap it all off than what is our school's most awaited event, the Annual Day 2023-24, christened "Namma Charitre", our own way of paying tribute to the resplendent historical heritage of Karnataka. Held in the evenings of 18th and 20th January, students from senior classes bound together to pull off a stunning finale for our school year. The theme was aptly focused on the history of karnataka, as the importance of respecting ones own cultures and traditions were highlighted. The presentation in total theatre was a riveting blend of contemporary plays, melange of dances and music. The event ceremoniously commenced with beautiful tunes from students of classes 7 and 8 presenting the invocation song, followed by various students presenting the introductory song, 'The medley of Devaranamas'. The students organised various vibrant, enthusiastic and thought inducing plays about many of the hidden stories that often go unnoticed about Karnataka's history and the lands contained within, ranging from Bidar in the sweltering north to Mysore in the south of karnataka. The plays were not alone in their grandeur as all presented dances and songs that stood out brilliantly in their own right and enticed the audience. The beautiful performances were capped by a grand finale that showed all of Karnataka on one stage with ten times the vibrance and beauty. This was a programme that can't fade from our memories quickly and will remain for years to come like words etched in stone.
